Hi Everyone.

We hope you have all had a great Christmas and New Year.  Now that 2009 has started, we wanted to remind you to register for OZeWAI - it is now less than two weeks away.

Registration can be done online at:
http://www.ozewai.org/2009/regis.html

OZeWAI is one of Australia's major conferences on web accessibility and adaptability.  It is always great value - three days packed with a wide array of presentations, workshops, hands-on sessions and keynote presentations.  With registration, attendees can enjoy a BBQ and a dinner, as well as refreshments and lunch on each day.

General information about the conference, including keynote speakers, is at:
http://www.ozewai.org/2009

A big issue for developers now is getting accessibility right in the web 2.0 world.  So we will have some in-depth sessions on how to make AJAX and web 2.0 applications accessible.  We will also have some hands-on sessions on making accessible PDFs and accessible FLASH, as well as a look at a number of accessibility testing tools.  We will also learn how Vision Australia goes about their process of testing for accessibility.

Vision Australia will also be talking about how to involve users with disability in the full lifecycle of developing products.  We will also have presentations on accessibility in the world of online transactions in eCommerce, the accessibility of content management systems (CMSs), and much more.

We will also have a session that focuses on the assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers), how they go about providing access to the user agents and assistive technologies themselves.  In the process, you will all get a look at a great emerging open source screen reader for Windows, called NVDA.

The draft program is at:

Mailing list and general OZeWAI information is at:

If you have any questions or issues, please contact any one of us (details below) and we will assist.  And don't forget to consider braining your bosses for a morning session...

We look forward to seeing you there.

Regards.
