RE: [SEC508] Microsoft, Adobe and WCAG 2.0

Hi Lars,

I don’t know about Microsoft or Adobe, but the US Department of Health and Human Services does have trainings and checklists for acceptance of proprietary document formats at http://www.hhs.gov/web/508/index.html.  It’s 508-based, so not exactly WCAG 2.0 - but it’s something.

Cheers,

Subject: [SEC508] Microsoft, Adobe and WCAG 2.0

Dear all,

I was under the impression that Microsoft, Adobe etc. were to publish guidelines on how to produce accessible documents in proprietary formats in accordance with WCAG 2.0 – and that these guidelines were to be officially referenced by W3C as supplements to WCAG 2.0.

I have, however, failed to locate any such guidelines from Microsoft and Adobe. Does anyone know the status of this work and/or where to find these guidelines.

Kind regards

Lars
