- Thread-topic: PDF Reading Order Question
Hello All and Happy New Year, In using Adobe Acrobat to remediate PDF files, there seems to be some inconsistencies between the reading order that is created by the tags versus the order that is shown using the reading order panel in the touch-up reading tool. The order can be correctly identified using the tag tree but the touch up reading order tool at times shows a different reading order. If you use the reading order identified by the tag tree, screen readers will read it correctly. My question is when if ever do you rely on the order displayed by the touch-up reading order tool rather than the tag tree? Are there cases when the order shown by the reading order panel is preferable to that shown by the tags? Does anyone have any guidance on this? Thanks as always. Don
