[SEC508] RE: SharePoint Issues

There is some interesting conversation happening on this topic over at
the WCAG interest group list. The HiSoftware CTO (Robert Yonaitis) is
contributing. Here is the top of the thread:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/2008AprJun/0024.html

Follow the "Next in thread" links to stay on that subject in your
browser. I really recommend subscribing to that list, it use to be
quite active but as of late the signal to noise ratio has been high.
With WCAG 2.0 due out as a Candidate Recommendation soon, and with how
strongly the TEITAC endorsed the WCAG 2.0 success criteria, I predict
traffic there to pick up.

Subject: [SEC508] SharePoint Issues

Hi All,

Has anyone had success with using SharePoint-enabled applications? Even
with the high Soft add-on which Microsoft recommends to increase
accessibility, we are encountering document libraries so complex that
screen readers are just plain choking. A preliminary examination of the
code seems to reveal that each data cell is in itself a table which
can't be good. Any thoughts please???
