If you visit our site to read or download information, we collect and store only the following information about you:
- the name of the domain from which you access the internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account, or Princeton.edu, if you are connecting from Princeton University's domain);
- the date and time you access our site; and
- the internet address of the web site that linked you to our site.
We will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit our site unless you choose to provide such information to us (for example, by sending us an email message or filling out our feedback form).
The information obtained about you by the Trace Center may be used in required reporting of our grant-funded activities. However, it is our policy not to provide this information to others.
Cookies
In order to facilitate enhancements in the visual presentation as well as the accessibility of our site, trace.wisc.edu stores information about user stylesheet preferences anonymously using cookies. The cookie stored is a small text file containing only information about the stylesheet a user has selected for viewing the site. A cookie will not let a web site know any personally identifiable information about you.
