The Trace Center is located in the Engineering Centers Building, on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, College of Engineering.

From Dane County Regional Airport
- Take International Drive out of the airport.
- Turn left on Packers Ave.
- Remain in the middle lane and continue to central campus (road name will change to Gorham and then University Ave.)
- Turn left on Randall Ave.
- Turn right on Engineering Drive.
From the Concourse Hotel
- From the Concourse parking garage, turn left on West Dayton.
- Turn right on North Carroll.
- Turn left on Gorham (road name will change to University Ave.); continue to central campus.
- Turn left on Randall Ave.
- Turn right on Engineering Drive.
From the InnTowner
- Turn left on University Ave.
- Turn right on Randall Ave.
- Turn right on Engineering Drive.
From DoubleTree
- From the parking garage, turn right on Johnson St.
- Turn right immediately on Marion St.
- Turn right on Dayton St.
- Turn right on Randall Ave.
- Turn left on Engineering Drive.
Parking and Drop-off
Parking is available in the ramp (Lot 17) at the end of Engineering Drive. Enter the ramp on the north side. This entrance is attended, and you will be charged if you enter before 4:30 PM. Half-day and full-day rates are available. Handicapped parking is located on the ground level of the ramp.
Passenger drop-off is at the end of Engineering Drive, immediately in front of the Main Entrance to the Engineering Centers Building.
Locating the Trace Center inside the Engineering Centers Building

From the
Main Entrance 
- From the parking garage or drop-off, you will enter the building through the main entrance into a glass atrium.
- Turn right after entering the building, and proceed all the way down the length of the building to the last hallway on your left.
- Take the elevator at the entrance to this hallway to the 2nd floor.
- Turn left after exiting the elevator.
- The Trace Center’s main entrance is Room 2107 (first door on the right).
From the North Entrance 
- Take the elevator found inside the North entrance to the 2nd floor.
- Turn left after exiting the elevator.
- The Trace Center’s main entrance is Room 2107 (first door on the right).

Hotels
The DoubleTree Hotel is located at 525 West Johnson Street. This hotel is in walking distance of the capitol, shopping and restaurants (State Street), and the University campus. Cabs and buses are plentiful as well. Reservations can be made online or via phone: (800) 222-8733 or (608) 251-5511.
The Best Western InnTowner, 2424 University Ave., is 9 blocks west of the Trace Center in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to the UW campus. You may reserve rooms online, or via phone: (800) 258-8321; (608) 233-8778.
The Madison Concourse Hotel is located downtown, 1 West Dayton Street, approximately a 15 minute drive from the Trace Center. Rates are a bit higher, but there are more amenities. This hotel is close to the capitol, shopping and restaurants (State Street), and both Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. Cabs and buses are plentiful as well. Transportation
- Rental cars are obtainable at the Dane County Airport.
- Bus schedules are available on the Madison Metro Web site.
- Most hotels provide airport pickup (but may require 24 hours notice).
- Taxicabs are plentiful in the downtown area, but you must call ahead to arrange a cab elsewhere.
