Description of Disability as a Function of Age Charts
The following is an accessible description of the Disability as a Function of Age pie charts. Figure 1 consists of a series of 7 pie charts illustrating the percentage of the population with disability by age group.
The following data is shown in the pie charts:
- 9.5% of the population between the ages of 18 and 24 have a disability.
- 10% of the population between the ages of 25 and 34 have a disability.
- 14.4% of the population between the ages of 34 and 44 have a disability.
- 21.2% of the population between the ages of 45 and 54 have a disability.
- 34% of the population between the ages of 55 and 64 have a disability.
- 42.3% of the population between the ages of 65 and 74 have a disability.
- 64% of the population 75 years and older have a disability.
